The Role: Junior Project Manager 

Job Description

In this customer-facing role, you as the Junior Project Manager will work on a team responsible for integrating, deploying and supporting world-class, cloud-hosted and on-prem CAS and OTT solutions for leading media companies like Cable and Telco operators and television broadcasters to protect their video streaming content. You will work closely with our product development and operations teams to lead the integration of our industry-leading products into customer environments and manage escalation for customer issues. If you love working with new streaming, DRM and cloud technologies, thinking out-of-the-box and working on complex challenges, you will enjoy working with us!

 

To be successful in the role, you need to have excellent problem-solving, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. A strong technical background is a plus. You also need to show a proven track record of building strong customer relationships, working with cross-functional teams and connecting customer requirements with geographically distributed Agile teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

 

Your mission at Irdeto:

  • Solution Delivery:
    • The Junior Project Manager is accountable for reliable delivery of products and services to market through orchestrating the efforts of various Irdeto teams in multiple locations, as well as an extensive range of Irdeto partners.
    • The Junior Project Manager ensures that these solutions are delivered on time and within budget, thereby helping to position the company for success in this market.
  • Project Planning:
    • Develop project plans.
    • Identify risks and issues.
    • Evaluate suitable alternative approaches.
    • Provide reporting on status of the integration projects.
    • Negotiate resources with the resource managers.
    • Gain commitment from partners on the allocation of their resources.
  • Project Relationship Management:
    • Manage relationships with relevant Irdeto partners on a project level.
    • Establish Project plans and attain commitment from partners on these plans.
    • Acquire and collate information on progress, risks and issues from all involved parties.
    • Negotiate the resolution of problems with and between partners, while maintaining good relationships with these partners.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Co-operate with the different teams within the organization to ensure that products and services are delivered to market as per the business plan.
    • Provide leadership to multi-site teams and help to optimize the overall company performance.
    • Monitor overall efficiency of the product development Projects and propose ways of improving efficiency and performance.
    • Act as an internal champion for key customers.
    • Maintain awareness of Irdeto product and market strategy and ensure that the Projects in this market contribute to the strategy.
    • Ensure that Irdeto processes and procedures are followed and that the appropriate level of quality is delivered.
    • The Project Manager is responsible for driving the creation of key commercial & legal documents, including license agreements and SOWs.
  • The Junior Project Manager has primary interfaces to the following parties:
    • Sales / Account Management for customer relationship management and pre-sales support.
    • Product Management for product requirements and product life-cycle management.
    • Engineering for customer related product development and integration debugging.
    • Partner Management for partner engagement, project planning and strategy.
    • Solutions Architecture for solution requirements, design, project planning and technical support.
    • Customer Integration Support for leading the technical implementation and support of the customer-facing solutions.
    • Legal for establishing SOWs, agreements and contracts.

 

How you can add value to the team?

  • University level technical education.
  • 2+ years' Project Management experience.
  • A professional with experience in delivering complex, multi-disciplinary solutions and a servant-leader of diverse teams in a geo-diverse organization.
  • Knowledge of technology suppliers and partners, preferably in the cloud industry.
  • Highly proactive, and able to motivate and inspire people to high levels of performance.
  • Sufficient technical aptitude to understand and influence complex technology issues.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally.
  • Good understanding of Irdeto or a similar technology company environment.
  • Managing development budgets and ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge in waterfall and Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience with Prince, PMI or other project management methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience and knowledge in information security is desirable.
  • Other European language skills are a plus.
