Senior Software Automation Engineer with experience in OTT (Over-the-Top)/Broadcast domain and proficiency in Automation of STB (using tools like Witbe/Storm), Web/Mobile & SmartTV Automation platforms (using Appium/Selenium) along-with Robot Framework using python is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Design, develop, and execute automated test cases for STB platform, using tools like Witbe/Storm (as a Primary skill) and Web/Mobile/SmartTV platforms using Appium/Selenium and Robot Framework for OTT platforms using python (as a secondary skill)
•    Build robust automation frameworks that are maintainable and scalable across multiple devices and platforms from scratch (for STB, mobile, web, SmartTV platforms).
•    Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing.
•    Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and continuous deployment.
•    Analyse test results, identify bugs, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
•    Work as an Individual contributor, develop detailed test plans, and test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
•    Work closely with product managers and development teams to understand requirements and create test strategies.
•    Continuously optimize test automation processes and frameworks to improve efficiency.
•    Ensure cross-platform compatibility and device coverage for various OTT applications (STB, Dongle, Android/iOS, Smart TVs).

Required Skills and Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•    5+ years of experience in test automation, with a focus on OTT and hybrid (OTT+ Broadcast) platforms and streaming applications.
•    Proficiency in Appium for automating mobile applications (iOS, Android) and experience working with OTT applications.
•    Strong knowledge of the Robot Framework (or equivalent) for writing automated tests and building automation solutions.
•    Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation.
•    Familiarity with OTT technologies and standards such as DRM, HLS, MPEG-DASH, and video player testing.
•    Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing, particularly for OTT applications on mobile devices, web browsers, dongle-based devices like Firestick/Roku and Smart TVs.
•    Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Docker setup etc.) and test automation integration with test management tools like TestRail/Zephyr and familiar with         JIRA/Confluence.
•    Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes (e.g., test case design, bug tracking, version control systems).
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail and should be able to mentor junior Automation team members 
•    Strong communication skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Skills:
•    Experience with OTT platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc.
•    Experience with other test automation tools such as Selenium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
•    Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., K6, JMeter, Gatling) and devops concepts (like AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, Dockers and containerization etc).
•    Knowledge of media streaming protocols, video encoding formats, and video quality assessment.
•       Experience with cloud testing platforms such as Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, or AWS Device Farm.
