About the Role :
As an experienced Sales Engineer, you will play a key pre-sales role within the APAC region, specializing in complex systems design, configuration, and integration. You will be instrumental in articulating Irdeto’s technological leadership through customer presentations and proposal documentation. Success in this role requires the ability to meet tight deadlines while multitasking across multiple proposals and configurations. You will drive end-to-end technical sales, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with external partners and internal teams, including Solution Engineering, Sales, and Product Marketing.

Develop strategic sales opportunities with partners, working closely with the sales team.

Engage with existing and prospective customers to determine their technical requirements and architect advanced media broadband and OTT solutions.

Prepare and deliver in-depth product demonstrations and technical presentations tailored to various market segments.

Support sales activities at exhibitions and conferences, including planning, setup, and presentation of demonstrations and Proofs of Concept (PoCs).

Respond to technical queries, RFIs, and RFPs with accuracy and timeliness, fostering strong relationships with key technical stakeholders.

Author white papers on complex solutions and present at industry events and conferences.

Provide valuable feedback to Irdeto’s marketing and engineering teams on new product feature requirements.

Act as the primary liaison between partners and internal departments to resolve complex technical sales issues.

Ensure adherence to Irdeto’s quality processes and guidelines.
Required Experience & Skills
-
5+ years of relevant sales engineering experience.
-
Expertise in video delivery, OTT, and broadcast solutions.
-
Strong background in solution-based and consultative sales approaches, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Subject matter expertise in content protection for media and at least one of the following areas:
-
Android TV
-
Cloud infrastructure
-
Transcoding
-
Packaging
-
Monetization models like advertising.

Specific technical experience in content protection (CAS, DRM) is a plus, OTT streaming and delivery architectures, and online piracy prevention.

Experience working with service providers, offering consultative and articulate technical solutions.

Strong understanding of market and industry trends.
-
Fluency in English; proficiency in an additional Asian language is a plus.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and succinctly.

Ability to travel up to 50% as required.
Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of broadcast and streaming content preparation workflows, including editing, scheduling, playout, and media asset management.

Experience influencing customer vision and strategy, shaping requirements, and driving Irdeto’s involvement in their roadmap.

Ability to deliver insights into emerging trends and their impact on customer business operations.
