The Role: Infrastructure Security Engineer

About the role:

• As Infrastructure Security Engineer you will be responsible for the design, setup, maintenance and support of Irdeto's global Security infrastructure. You will be part of our global Infrastructure and Security team.
• The team is responsible for: 24/7 incident management, Systems support, Systems integration, IT architecture and Network Security for all Irdeto on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
• The role is extremely varied in terms of the breadth of technology in use as dictated by the business demands, with opportunities to learn new skills, collaborate across the business and most of all, to be creative.

Primary responsibilities:

• Manage Irdeto’s Global IT Security Infrastructure and services including designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting key infrastructure elements.
• Monitor, and report on Security functions.
• Initiate, manage and successfully complete projects improving the current Technology Operations Security services as necessary, ensuring systems operate according to best practices and meet the business needs.
• Review the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and controls; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
• Installation, integration and upgrades of new Security products for local and remote regions and providing on-going support of these systems after implementation.
• Focus on opportunities for orchestration and automation, reducing the need for manual intervention
• Provide proactive knowledge transfer to other IT colleagues on an on-going, ad-hoc basis; additionally, structured knowledge transfer as a result of training or specialist knowledge will periodically be required.
• Demonstrate an excellent understanding of company and departmental goals and objectives and proactively participate in the identification and implementation of solutions and process or other improvements to benefit the company and department.
• Provide expertise and consultancy across the Irdeto business as a subject matter expert
• Collaborate closely with other members of the Infrastructure team, ensuring alignment in “the way we work”

Required Knowledge & Skills: Must Have

• Minimum 5 years’ professional work experience in IT, of which at least 3 years in a similar position in a global enterprise.
• Infrastructure Automation and Orchestration concepts/tooling.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Experience in Cisco LAN Switching platforms.
• Experience with SIEM like tooling such as Splunk.
• Experience with Nessus/Tenable or similar vulnerability assessment tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
• Exposure to basic penetration testing/ethical hacking and associated toolsets.
• Strong understanding of Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) concepts.
• Experience with Linux, shell scripting and Python.
• TCP/IP, troubleshooting, packet capture and analysis.
   

Desirable

• Cisco Firewall platforms (ASA, Firepower Threat Defense)
• Cisco Security suite (AMP, Umbrella and similar)
• Cisco ISE, DOT1x. PxGrid
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or similar
• Experience with Kali Linux
• Certifications such as CEH, CISSP or similar
