The Role: Forecasting & Business Planning Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Forecast Model & Process:
- Develop and maintain a sophisticated sales forecasting model that incorporates historical data, market trends, and sales pipeline insights.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and refine the forecast model on an ongoing basis.
- Conduct regular reviews and analyses to identify forecast accuracy improvements and implement corrective actions.
- Implement data-driven forecasting tools and technologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
2. Business Planning:
- Lead the annual 3-year business planning process, working closely with cross-functional teams to align sales targets with organizational goals and objectives.
- Consolidate comprehensive sales plans, including revenue targets, product mix, and investment choices ensuring alignment with broader company strategies.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on forecast and planning data.
3. Control and Manage Sales Targets:
- Establish clear and realistic sales targets in collaboration with leadership and based on market analysis, historical performance, and growth projections.
- Monitor and assess sales team performance against targets, providing timely feedback and support to ensure objectives are met or exceeded.
- Implement tracking and reporting mechanisms to measure progress towards sales targets, identifying and addressing potential shortfalls.
- Work closely with sales leaders to adjust targets as needed in response to changing market conditions or business priorities.
4. Ad-Hoc Strategic Projects:
- Lead and participate in projects such as Product P&L, Customer P&L, and represent the department in Data Governance initiatives.
- Drive cross-functional efforts to ensure the delivery of data-driven insights to the business, enabling informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with various teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

Analytical Skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis to develop and maintain a sales forecasting model.
- Ability to interpret and utilize historical data, market trends, and sales pipeline insights for accurate forecasting.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Strong collaborative skills to work closely with sales teams to gather inputs and validate assumptions for the forecasting model.
- Effective communication to present insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on forecast and planning data.
Business Acumen:
- Understanding of broader business strategies and the ability to align sales targets with organizational goals.
- Capability to lead the annual business planning process, ensuring alignment with company strategies.
Strategic Thinking:
- Ability to set clear and realistic sales targets based on market analysis, historical performance, and growth projections.
- Strategic thinking to drive cross-functional projects such as Product P&L, Customer P&L, and Data Governance initiatives.
Technology Proficiency:
- Ability to implement and utilize data-driven forecasting tools and technologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency in sales forecasting.
