The Role:

As a part of the Financial Control Team, your role is primarily to support the Regional Financial Controlles on accounting, compliance and control related activities. You will have the opportunity to make an impact in advising on accounting related matters and participate in projects in an international environment. 

You will work in a team of finance professionals in the Netherlands, reporting directly to the Regional Financial Controller

Your mission at Irdeto:

• Perform month end close activities which includes:
  • Collaborating with the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll specialists to ensure all entries are accurately recorded
  • Process journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Loading of entities in HFM, clearing validations and HFM reporting
  • Variance analysis with explanations
• Preparation of annual financial statements and statutory pack disclosure
• Responsible for the timely reporting and filing of statutory accounts in the relevant regions
• Ensure robust controls are in place. Proactively monitor, assess, report and ensure effective controls over financial and business risks
• Prepare accounting memos
• Pro-actively drive process improvements and projects
• Support in process standardization
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and adherence to company/group policies
• Collaborate with the tax team to drive tax compliance
• Support on completion of VAT returns
• Support and advise on other accounting related projects, including the ERP-system
• Collaborate with and support your colleagues in similar roles in the other regions;
• Liase with external accounting and audit firms and work with tax advisors

How you can add value to the team?

• 2+ years of related work experience, in an international environment;
• Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant required
• Strong IFRS knowledge;
• A team player and effective communicator across different cultures and at all levels of management;
• Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines;
• Fluent in English (written & verbal);
• Attention to detail and “hands on”
