Role:

The purpose of the role is to manage all financials ensuring control, accuracy, predictability and timely delivery of results, comparative analysis, and commentary to the management of the Market Unit and the Finance team.  

 

You will need to: 

  • Understand business/economic/environmental drivers of Actual results versus Budget and Forecast;  

  • Ensure financial planning processes for direct expenses – strategically capture, carefully estimate, and skillfully communicate business impacting events;  

  • Anticipate changes, seek better practices, and contribute to the Unit to be successful in its aims. 

 

In addition to providing business support, you will participate in global projects within FP&A and Finance supporting the overall Finance strategy. 

 

Primary responsibilities: 

Business Support  

Act as primary finance interface to the Video Entertainment Market Unit for all financial matters with a focus on: 

 

  • Business Partnership: 

  • Act as the primary Finance point of contact, communicate, discuss, and challenge financial impacts with the team. Lead financial discussions and provide recommendations to drive business decisions. 

  • Commercial finance: 

  • Design and implement pricing for complex deals together with the sales and product teams. Track and manage deal profitability. 

  • Profitability analysis: 

  • Facilitate (product/customer) profitability data gathering, analysis, reporting and discussion. Drive ongoing improvement from data source to stakeholder reporting.  

  • Scenario planning: 

  • Conduct financial modelling to evaluate different strategic scenarios and provide insights into potential outcomes and risks.  

  • Manage budget: 

  • Lead the budget and forecast processes for your Market Unit. Ensure department spend to be within approved budget. 

  • Rolling Forecast planning: 

  • Maintain a rolling forecast framework to understand future spend and advise in time.  

  • Projects: 

Assess the financial impact and effectiveness of key projects and initiatives, including large new customer deployments. Communicate and provide recommendations to optimize project outcomes.

 

Primary responsibilities continued: 

 

Global support 

 

  • Participate in various global finance related projects with a focus on improving our overall data management, delivering (financial) reports and analysis, streamlining (financial) processes such as budget submissions etc. 

Knowledge & Skill requirements: 

 

  • Combines a MSc degree in Finance / Accounting or Economics with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in an international corporate environment; 

  • Experienced in structuring commercial deals and/or complex commercial pricing; 

  • Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong attitude for numbers & accuracy; 

  • Proficient in advanced Excel functions and techniques to support informed decision-making and analysis; 

  • Excels under pressure and thrives in environments with tight deadlines;  

  • Demonstrates a "get things done" mentality and a willingness to deep dive in different relevant topics; 

  • Is pro-active and excels in a supporting role; 

  • Has an agile approach but can work independently, and is able to adapt to various working styles and environments; 

  • A strong good communicator who facilitates effective collaboration across various levels within the organization.
