System Test Engineer

The Team - Keystone:

Connectivity is driving a transformational change in human mobility, creating new possibilities and opportunities in connecting people, goods, cities and innovation. The Role:  
The role of System Test Engineer is critical to Irdeto’s success.  You will join a high-performing, cross-functional team delivering the next generation of Irdeto's award-winning Keystone product for passenger cars and commercial fleets. Building on your previous experience testing complex systems including firmware, mobile applications, and cloud systems in a complete, hardware in the loop test capacity, you’ll increase test coverage, improve test quality, and defect detection rates, and increase and support the test automation.  Our goal is to use modern advanced testing techniques like fuzzing, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and AI to achieve the quality and reliability our customers and their businesses demand.   

Your mission at Irdeto: 

• Design, Maintain, execute, and extend the system test capabilities of the Keystone product, including: 

• Increased Automation 

• New and leading testing technology and techniques 

• Hardware-in-the-loop testing of the entire system 

• Improved fault detection, resiliency testing, and reliability measurement 

• Act as the ‘gate’ to the release process, ensuring quality and reliability is maintained through major releases and minor patches. 

• Engage with the engineering team to create a strong understanding of the product and its function 

• Participate in the product change control process 

• Support customer interactions related to root cause analysis, issue reproduction, and presenting testing methods and practices as needed 

• Understanding of and participation in SW configuration management process 

Must haves for the role: 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field 

• 5+ years of experience testing complex systems with multiple components under test 

• Experience introducing, operating, and maintaining a test program for a product 

• Strong experience testing and debugging embedded systems  

• Involved in functional & non-functional testing types (Regression testing, sanity Testing, Performance Testing, Security Testing, Database Testing, Automation testing, API testing, UI Testing. 

• Experience in testing in the automotive industry 

• Hands on experience in Python Scripting for test automation 

• Good communication skills, both written and oral 

How you can bring additional value to the team: 

• Experience testing mobile applications and cloud applications 

• Experience automating system testing and testing in a CI/CD pipeline 

• Experience testing systems using Bluetooth or other wireless technology 

• Well versed with Test processes, test planning and test design 

• Involved in understanding, reviewing and analyzing the internal, customer, and market requirements and prepare the test design to meet the overall system performance requirements. 

• Good understanding of Agile Methodology. 

• Experience with selenium, Appium, BlazeMeter, jUnit, flutter test, and other test frameworks is an asset 

• Team player but able to work independently and remotely. 

• Proactive and self-motivated. 

• Good logical and analytical skills with the ability to absorb multiple requirements, provide analysis and then at times provide a practical solutions that meet the customers’ needs. 

• Good documentation and reporting skills. 

• Knowledge of the automotive, fleet, trucking, or digital key industries is an asset.
