The Role: Principal Engineer  

As a Principal Software Engineer you will be joining our Video Entertainment team, and will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing our Solutions and products. You'll work as part of a dynamic and cross-functional team to ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality Deliverables. You will work on the latest technologies in the streaming industry and Your expertise will contribute to the innovation and enhancement of our solutions, ensuring our global customers have the best possible experience.

Your mission at Irdeto:

1. Develop and maintain software applications and services for our OTT platform, ensuring high-performance, scalability, and reliability.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to design and implement new features and improvements.
3. Identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and system scalability issues.
4. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues, ensuring a seamless user experience.
5. Mentor junior engineers and participate in knowledge sharing within the team.
    

How can you add value to the team?

1. Bachelor’s degree or master’s in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Angular, Typescript, NodeJS, Java and/or others as relevant.
3. Proven Experience in video streaming technologies and cloud Platforms.
4. Proficiency in building and maintaining microservices and distributed systems.
5. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
6. Understanding of database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling, UX Architecture etc.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
8. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
