The Role:

Software Engineer

As our new Software Engineer colleague, you will be exposed to technologies like Java, Kotlin, Javascript, Groovy, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, SQL, Jenkins, Linux, Git.

Key Responsibilities

• Foster a professional engineering culture and help to grow our standards, by keeping your industry knowledge on software development up-to-date and spread that in the organization
• Develop real-time critical applications within the Digital Rights Management (DRM) domain for both on premise and cloud-based platforms.
• Design and implement Irdeto Rights, our DRM solution, with a focus on high availability, service performance and reliability
• Develop, improve, maintain and document clean code, in an agile manner, as part of a Scrum Team
• Pair programming and code reviews 
• Contribute to the maintenance of development, testing and delivery tools and frameworks
• Collaborate to the creation and maintenance of CICD pipelines, together with the DevOps engineers
• Challenge old habits, bring new ideas

Skills and experience we expect

• A BSc/MSc Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a similar field
• Professional programming experience in Java and Kotlin is a plus.
• Experience in the development, test and delivery of large scale, high traffic, highly reliable back-end systems is a plus
• Experience or affinity with cloud technologies (AWS, etc.)
• Exposure to delivery tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.) and versioning systems (Git, etc.)
• Exposure to QA (besides unit testing, also component, integration, system and acceptance testing and automation at every level)
• Experience in Angular or React is a plus
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Groovy, etc.) is a plus
• Experience in Docker is a plus
• Proficient verbal and written English communication skills
