Job Summary:

Join our Irdeto Legal team as a Senior Legal Counsel and become a key player in shaping the future of our global organization. You'll have the opportunity to tackle exciting legal challenges, from drafting and reviewing commercial contracts for our technical solutions, through to providing strategic advice on high-impact projects. You'll also play a crucial role in identifying legal risks and proposing strategies to mitigate them. Your Mission at Irdeto:

Support our organization as a legal business partner to the organization. This will include:

  • Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and providing legal advice to the organization.
  • Providing project management of legal steps on strategic contracts from identification of legal issues through to contract execution.
  • Identifying legal risks and propose strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, such as executives, managers, sales, and cross-functional teams, to ensure legal considerations are incorporated into business decisions.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to support decision-making and provide recommendations on legal issues
  • Managing and coordinate external legal resources, such as external counsel, when necessary.
  • Monitoring changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to proactively identify potential legal risks and opportunities.
  • Assisting with dispute resolution and litigation matters, including managing external counsel, drafting legal documents, and participating in negotiations or settlement discussions.
  • Developing and deliver legal training programs to educate employees on legal compliance and best practices.
  • Staying up-to-date with developments in the legal field and maintain a strong understanding of industry-specific regulations and requirements.
  • Partnering with our legal operations team to improve systems and legal efficiencies across the business.

 

Ideally you will have:

  • Master’s degree in Law from an accredited university or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) practicing law.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in commercial/contract law.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills.
  • Sound judgment and ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal professionals.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Membership in a recognized legal bar association is preferred.
