The Role: NoC Engineer

APAC Network Operations Centre (NoC) is made up of specialists who play a critical role in maintaining the highest level of service quality and reliability for our customers.  This position is at the forefront of monitoring and managing our platforms to ensure optimal performance and swiftly address any technical issues that may arise.  The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in technical support, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to excellence in customer service.  This is a 24/7 shift role and the successful candidate will be part of a five man roster.

 

Your mission at Irdeto:

  • Monitor Broadcast and Conditional Access Platforms
  • Monitor IP Platforms and Associated Systems
  • System Changes and Procedure Implementation
  • Fault Finding and Troubleshooting
  • Liaison with Internal and External Teams
  • Incident Escalation
  • Incident, Change, and Communication Management
  • Routine Logging and Daily Checks
  • Incident Management and Post-Incident Reviews
  • Procedure Creation and Documentation
  • Operational KPIs Achievement

 

How can you add value to the team:

  • Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software or Electrical Engineering and/or relevant industry work experience ideal.
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating environment.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases (MS-SQL Server & Oracle).
  • Sound knowledge of Windows operating environment.
  • Good software skills in: MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Outlook.
  • Experience in operational monitoring of live broadcast networks an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively on time-critical tasks under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain compliance to established processes.
  • Able to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
